DC5900 PTFE

The DC5900a/c PTFE is a joint development project coordinated with a market leading concrete floor grinding machine manufacturer to create a mobile machine tailored to their industry. It is especially suited to managing the large volumes of concrete dust generated during floor grinding. Unlike our standard extractors it is equipped with a pleated PTFE filter cartridge (Teflon© filter) with a large filter area (54 ft²/5m²). This filter area maximizes airflow provided by the three phase motor and turbo-pump. The PTFE material reduces the tendency of the fine dust to adhere to the filter. As a result, it allows continuous operation of today's highly efficient concrete floor grinders. Floor grinding is one of the toughest applications for construction dust extractors meaning that high demands are made on the filters and the equipment used to collect the dust. The DC5900a PTFE and DC5900c PTFE models provide optimal performance with concrete grinding discs of up to 40"/1000 mm in a mobile package. The DC5900a is equipped with a 20 gal./75 l steel container, while the DC5900c PTFE has a plastic sack. As with all of our mobile extractors this unit features three stage filtration including a cyclone, pre-filter and certified HEPA filter. Certified HEPA filters are individually tested for their effectiveness. Power supply to the machine is three phase in either 460v or 600v. Dustcontrol strongly recommends the use of a pre-separator for maximum efficiency in floor grinding applications.
